How has working downtown benefitted your business?

“I’ve always done regional work, so Downtown is a great location. It’s easy to get in and out of, whether I’m hitting the highway or going to the airport. And people actually remember your office. They’re not driving to an office park that looks like everything around it, parking in a bland parking lot, and walking into a lobby. They park on the street in front of my building. It leaves a memory.”

How does working Downtown fuel your creativity?

“I get distracted easily, so I love the fact I can get up and go for a walk outside when I need to. There’s always some great renovations happening that involve the history of downtown. It’s fun to see all the different construction sites and initiatives that are continuously building our city. I’m constantly finding buried treasures throughout downtown. Being an architect, that’s inspiring.”

Where do you go for lunch?

“We always have a gang going somewhere for lunch. We try and shake it up and hit all the food spots. Sharing this space with Harvest Creative makes simple things like lunch fun. When it’s great weather, we will cater in food and sit on our patio and have a drink. Those are some of the most relaxing times at work. It almost doesn’t feel like work. If I go into the city, I’ll usually run into friends and old mentors. It’s a perfect time to catch up, and it’s always spontaneous.””

How do you show your clients around?

“Being downtown gives us a seamless transition to hanging out with clients and co-workers when we leave the office. We’re already here. We’re parked. It’s so easy. Sometimes we’ll meet up with friends from other agencies and go to Majestic Grille before a Redbirds or Grizz game. That’s become a norm for us.”
